I start Day 1 at 149.4 pounds. I weigh myself first thing in the morning.
I have gotten through most of the first day without too much trouble. Time will tell. I have eaten sensibly today, I think. I got out for a 50 minute walk at lunch. There was a nice breeze so it wasn't too hot.
Here's what I have eaten so far today, Weight Control Instant Oatmeal with about 1/4 cup blueberries. Turkey sandwich (on 100% whole wheat bread, 2 slices) with 1 slice pepper jack cheese, light mayo (very little) and mustard, and a string cheese. I was surprised that the pepper jack cheese was less calories than the string cheese. For snacks I had an apple and at a different time I had a half cup of non-fat cottage cheese and a half cup of pineapple chunks packed in it's on juice.
I have a jar of peanuts sitting on my desk that I managed to not touch the entire day! I have them there to share with my co-workers. I know nuts are healthy for you but if I eat one I end up having several handfuls! Moderation is very hard for me. I guess I am an all or nothing kind of person.
I am trying to decide what I will have for dinner. I am home alone as my husband has a dinner meeting to attend. As usual nothing is planned. I may have a leftover chicken breast and veggies from last night's dinner. It was marinated in Italain dressing, baked and then topped with a whole green chili (Ortega) and a thin slice of Havarti cheese with dill. I told you I liked cheese. I'm working on it! The veggies are mushrooms and bite size asparagus sauteed in olive oil, white wine, garlic powder and worteshire sauce. The recipe called for butter but I substituted olive oil, just a tablespoon. We had brown rice with dinner and I think there is some of that left so I think I am set for tonight. I always eat my dinner on a small 9 inch plate. Your basic salad plate. I did cut the chicken breast in half since it was huge. It was called a chicken steak. I have never heard of that before.
Right now I think I can stay on track because I keep thinking og September 14th and the thought of maybe fitting into my wedding dress. Besides my husband told me this morning, "If you get to 120, you'll be really hot! If you can only get to 130 you'll be hot!" What incentive. Made me feel really good!
