Day 10 - 90 To Go

Well I haven't been blogging so you know I've been bad. It started with Sunday afternoon when we went our friends house. We had way to much wine which led to too much food. Then on Monday I hadn't gone shopping for my food for work so I ate peanuts, Cup O'Noodles and other bad stuff. I did have a little bit of cottage cheese. Again on Tuesday I hadn't been shopping so more peanuts and more high sodium foods. Dave went to the store Tuesday night and I am back on track but not before the damage was done. I am back up to 149.2. I'm not going to get discouraged. I will still go for a 4 pound loss by Monday morning. I am hoping a lot of this is water retention due to all the sodium I had the last 2 days. I am now reading Jillian Michaels book Master Your Metabolism and I am fascinated. I think I am going to try her way of eating along with the Mayo Clinic diet book. They are very similar. I have decided that my big mistake so far is not having a plan. Without a plan I just eat whatever is around. Planning is a lot of work but like anything else with practice it will become second nature. I watched Jillian's new show Losing It last night and it was an inspiration. I will keep going, not give up and get my 2 pounds a week off. I am going to step it up! More tomorrow. I'm not going to miss any more days! No more being bad!

Day 7 - 93 To Go

I did much better yesterday and weighed in at 146.6 this morning. I feel better, am back on track and I'm going to stay on track!  I only ate a Jimmy Dean Delight ( I love those!) and a string cheese for the day until dinner. For dinner Dave made spaghetti with sausage in the spaghetti sauce, zucchini sauteed in butter, a Caesar salad and Italian flat bread. I'm working on him to saute in olive oil. He says it doesn't taste right but I WILL convert him! He tried to give me a dinner plate but I got my salad plate and took a little spaghetti some zucchini which I scooped with a slotted spoon. I put a little bit of the salad in a bowl and skipped the bread. I walked away feeling a little hungry but that went away in just a few minutes. I was proud of myself! We are going to our friend's house for appetizers and wine this afternoon to look at pictures from our joint trip to Key West last April. I will have to be on my best behavior. I have another JD Delight in the refrigerator so that will be breakfast and I won't eat again until we get to our friend's house. More tomorrow and I will post how I do this afternoon. Will power on!

Day 6 - 94 To Go

I didn't post yesterday but here I go, weighed in at 147.4. I was kind of disappointed but then on Friday night I finished off my chocolates, 5 of them for a total of 375 calories and I ate them around 9:00 at night. I think I learned my lesson. I also didn't think that weight was going to last. It was too much too soon so I will take it in stride and strive to do better.

Day 5 - 95 To Go

146 pounds this morning! Woohoo! I know this is going to taper off but I am going to enjoy it as long as I can. I stayed away from the peanuts today, that's 5 days in a row. I think this blogging thing just might work. Not much to write today. Same breakfast and lunch but I did find a new sandwich bread. Oroweat Light 100% Whole Wheat bread. 2 slices = 80 calories, .5 grams of fat, 7 grams of fiber. That's 80 calories less for my sandwich than I have been eating. Now I have the weekend ahead of me. This is where I usually fall down. I am hoping the blogging will keep me on track. Time will tell. Until tomorrow. I hope to post good news.

Day 4 - 96 To Go

Well, I think I'm still 2 pounds down but I had to change the batteries in my scale and now it shows me at 148 pounds. I got on the scale 3 times and got three different weights. I should have taken the 10 pound loss that one of them showed but that is what told me to change the batteries! I'll see what I weigh in at tomorrow morning and go from there. I got this great book from work today as part of our Active For Life program, The Mayo Clinic Diet. It's very reasonable and looks at all aspects of losing weight including what's going on in your head. I'm going to try it. The first 2 weeks you are supposed to lose 6-10 pounds. After that 2 pounds a week. It is all about life changes not just until you get to your goal. I will let you know how it goes. I'll finish reading the book this weekend and get everything I need to get started by Monday. My diet was the same as yesterday at work, except my co-worker convinced me to split a a package of Snackwell cookies (2 cookies each). But for the fourth day in a row I stayed away from the peanuts! I don't think that will hurt and they sure would good! As usual after my Biggest Loser workout I am not hungry so I will not need to eat. I AM sore! I went to the store and did get some healthy food to put in the house to give me better choices. More tomorrow.

Day 3 - 97 To Go

I weighed in at 147.4 this morning. We'll see if it holds up tomorrow morning. I didn't get any exercise in today. Just a 10 minute walk each way to a lunch time meeting. I'll get a good amount tomorrow. A lunch time walk and my Biggest Loser class. Nothing exciting about my meals. Same thing at work as the last 2 days. Dave is off with Taylor picking up her boyfriend from the Oakland airport so dinner will be whatever I can find. I'm thinking some cottage cheese and the rest of my leftover chicken. I have also managed to stay away from the peanuts for one more day! It was hard today but I kept thinking that if I ate them I wouldn't stop and then I would have to report it here. This blogging just may work! More tomorrow.

Day 2 - 98 To Go

I weighed in at 149.4 again this morning. I had one slip up last night and had 2 of my Chocolate Almond Butter Caramels last night. Otherwise I was pretty good. Well, except the glass of wine that probably helped convince me I needed the chocolate. I'll get better. I didn't touch my peanuts again at work today. Two days in a row! My meals during the day are pretty much the same every day so I won't bore you. What I had at work yesterday for breakfast and lunch is what I had today. I just got home from my Biggest Loser class about an hour ago and I'm still not hungry. I think I will bypass dinner tonight. I'm going to try to eat only when I am hungry and stop when I am no longer hungry.  Our workout tonight was really intense. Our trainers decided they were going to work every muscle in our bodies. They say they don't plan the workouts together but I smell a conspiracy! I feel good after the workout (not so much during) and know this is going to help me get to my goal. I also walked for 50 minutes at lunch today so I hope to see a little bit of a loss tomorrow morning. We'll see. I'll let you know tomorrow.
